This is AMAZING. Like a sexed up styled up version of Cherry Moon On Valium and Rineke Dijkstra’s clubbers. I can’t get enough of this Euro hard dance stylin’.

Lady Boys

Friday, July 15th, 2011

I obviously spend to much time on flickr looking at other peoples (weird) lives. A transvestite‘s souvenir photos of Singapore ladyboys from the 1980s. Amazing hair, makeup and halternecks…

See the ISYS blog for more of my flickr trawls.

Hair Styles of the 70s

Wednesday, May 4th, 2011

Had a look in some of those hair magazines you get in the supermarket the other day, absolute rubbish. Wish they were more like this…

Heady blooms

Sunday, April 24th, 2011

I have spent the past week planting my flower garden; Irises, Anemones, Nasturtiums, Lavender, Foxgloves, Poppies and plenty more. I think they might end up on my head!

Images from Musubi, The Flower Appreciation Society and Madame Yevonde – others I have forgotten…

ISYS #4 – Leroy

Monday, December 6th, 2010

I Saw You Standing – Leroy from PLATFORM MAGAZINE on Vimeo.

This is my first video for ISYS (I Saw You Standing) x Platform magazine. I am so excited about this project and I love this video. A bit wobbly, but that’s what you get if you forego the gloves in minus zero. Filmed on Friday in Ladbroke Grove, thanks to Leroy for not “going to get his Education” and giving us a few minutes of his time.

Cool With Nature

Wednesday, July 28th, 2010

I have being going a bit mental on Discogs Marketplace recently buying as many records as you can on a civil servant’s salary. Today I discovered, and bought this song: Carlton – Cool With Nature.

Not only has the record sleeve become one of my favourite images ever – Check out the shades! – but I love this song, I can’t believe I had never heard it before… Also the title is a pretty good name for a song, I’m cool with nature too.

I also bought this song today (and 15 others):
