This is AMAZING. Like a sexed up styled up version of Cherry Moon On Valium and Rineke Dijkstra’s clubbers. I can’t get enough of this Euro hard dance stylin’.

Joe Hart posted this in the World Unknown group yesterday, amazing dance moves throughout – especially the lady in the sexy legs contest at 5:05.

Stratus Dance Club was the premier alcohol-free young adult nightclub in Southern California from 1978 to 1987. Located in Casa de Oro – the foothills of Mt. Helix , Stratus catered to high-school and college students from San Diego County to as far north as Los Angeles.

Dr. Buzzard’s Original Savannah Band

Tuesday, April 12th, 2011

This afternoon I was reminded how much I love Dr Buzzard’s Original Savannah Band whilst reading Love Saves the Day on the train. The first thing I did when I got home was buy a copy of their 1976 self-titled LP on discogs for a mere £4. I first discovered them when I was about 18 and then kind of forgot about them until now, I don’t know how I managed that because they are amazing.

Since purchasing the 12″ of Batdance last week, I have developed a weird obsession with Prince’s contributions to The Batman (1989) soundtrack. Is it weird to dance to Batdance in your pajamas?

Andy Blake put me on to this Mark Moore remix, not sure if I like it more than the original:

Drop The Bomb

Friday, November 5th, 2010

Drop the Bomb is a really cool club night for dancers (and non-dancers) pop down to the next one to see poppin’, lockin’, breakin’ and the rest. Pac has done a new mix for his new residency – recommended listening:
