Highgate Cemetery (West)

Egyptian Avenue

I went on a tour of Highgate Cemetery (West) on Sunday, you can only visit that side of the cemetery if you go on the tour. I would recommend it to anyone who has an interest in cemeteries architecture, victorian history, or to anyone who doesn’t. The best bit was the Egyptian Avenue and seeing the ornate coffins in the tombs opposite Julius Beer’s mausoleum.

I know it’s late – RIP Amy.

Her best song – it has a lot of emotional weight, even more so now. I wanted that dress when I was 17, still do.

Lady Boys

Friday, July 15th, 2011

I obviously spend to much time on flickr looking at other peoples (weird) lives. A transvestite‘s souvenir photos of Singapore ladyboys from the 1980s. Amazing hair, makeup and halternecks…

See the ISYS blog for more of my flickr trawls.

Joe Hart posted this in the World Unknown group yesterday, amazing dance moves throughout – especially the lady in the sexy legs contest at 5:05.

Stratus Dance Club was the premier alcohol-free young adult nightclub in Southern California from 1978 to 1987. Located in Casa de Oro – the foothills of Mt. Helix , Stratus catered to high-school and college students from San Diego County to as far north as Los Angeles.

Wet Women

Monday, July 4th, 2011

I saw a poster for this exhibition called Wet Women a while back but totally forgot about it and never went to the show. Amazing photos, I can’t wait to go to the beach this summer!
